Sony has made three exciting announcements during their CES 2025 press conference, revealing an anime adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a film based on Helldivers, and a movie adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Anime by Aniplex

Aniplex, in collaboration with PlayStation Productions, has announced an anime series based on Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. Directed by Takanobu Mizuno, known for his work on “Star Wars: Visions The Duel,” the anime is set to premiere on Crunchyroll in 2027. Gen Urobuchi will write the story composition, while Sony Music will serve as the music and soundtrack partner.

Helldivers Film Announced

PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures have revealed that a film adaptation of Helldivers is currently in production. No further details about the film’s release date, director, and cast have been announced.

Horizon Zero Dawn Film in Development

Additionally, PlayStation Productions and Columbia Pictures have confirmed that a movie adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn is in the early stages of development. The adaptation will bring the post-apocalyptic world of Aloy to the big screen. No further details about the film have been announced.
