Playground Games has announced that Forza Horizon 5 is coming to PS5 on April 29, 2025.
This launch coincides with the release date of its latest update, Horizon Realms, which will let players dig into the game’s history of Evolving World updates. Explore 12 fantastic Evolving World locations: 11 of the best previously limited-time locations and the premiering Stadium Track.
The Horizon Realms update goes live on April 25, while early access to the PS5 version will also start on the same day.
Forza Horizon 5 PS5 Pre-order and Early Access Details
Here are the various editions and inclusions of the game when it launches for PS5 on April 29:
Standard Edition
- Comes with the complete base game and all previous free content and features like Horizon Realms.
Premium Edition
- Comes with both expansions (Rally Adventure and Hot Wheels), 42 additional cars from Car Pass, VIP Membership, and extra perks included in the Welcome Pack.
- Early Access starting April 25.

Forza Horizon 5 will feature two rendering modes: Performance (60fps) and Quality (30fps).
On the PS5 Pro, Performance mode receives increased visual fidelity, while Quality mode adds ray-traced car reflections to Races and Free Roam.
