Yakuza Kiwami 3 Takes Center Stage at SEGA Booth at Tokyo Game Show 2025
SEGA and ATLUS went all-in at Tokyo Game Show 2025, bringing a powerhouse lineup to Makuhari Messe from September 25 to 28. Among the most anticipated titles at the booth were Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, a reimagining of Yakuza 3 bundled with a brand-new story expansion starring fan-favorite antagonist Yoshitaka Mine.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 sees Kazuma Kiryu in his prime, balancing life as a father at Morning Glory Orphanage with the chaos of Okinawa’s criminal underworld. The game features two revamped fighting styles, Dragon of Dojima and Ryukyu, alongside new life simulation elements, cell phone customization, and the all-new Bad Boy Dragon mode, where players lead a team of delinquents in strategic street battles.

Meanwhile, Dark Ties explores Mine’s origin story, tracing his descent from startup founder to ruthless yakuza. Players will wield a stylish shootboxing combat style, navigate Kamurocho’s underground fight club, and manage PR campaigns to boost clan reputation, all while uncovering Mine’s emotional journey.
Attendees can experience the game firsthand through a hands-on demo, snap photos at the Kamurocho Arch photo op, and grab exclusive giveaways like the Kiryu/Mine mask and Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties shoulder bag.

SEGA’s Tokyo Game Show 2025 booth also featured a stacked lineup, which included hands-on demos for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and Persona 3 Reload, video exhibits for Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2, plus playable showcases like Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage and Football Manager 26, among other titles.

Partner titles, such as Borderlands 4, EA Sports FC 2026, and Project Motor Racing, among others, also made an appearance. Players trying out these games would go on to receive novelty gifts such as a Kazuma Kiryu/Yoshitaka Mine Mask, a Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Pin Button, a Sonic Rumble Original Acrylic Keychain, and more.
Fans could also enjoy live concerts, influencer panels, and Fan Time Shows with SEGA developers and voice actors from the Like a Dragon series.
Some of the performances that hyped up the crowd included a mini-concert from Azumi Takahashi, Lotus Juice, and DJ:RAM RIDER, which highlighted the Persona series, along with a Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds racing tournament featuring various influencers.
