Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the roster of fighters for Mortal Kombat II, arriving in cinemas and IMAX on May 6, 2026. Directed by Simon McQuoid and produced by James Wan, the sequel expands the scope of the franchise by finally bringing the legendary tournament to the big screen.

Wan, a longtime fan of the video game series, emphasized the film’s ambition: “This one is bigger in scope and scale. We wanted to delve into more characters and also go into the Netherrealm… built upon these great characters, this huge world, and I think the fans deserve this.”
