Players will confront the King of the Mists’ sinister designs as Ritual encounters spread across every campaign area, while new mechanics and challenges reshape the endgame.

Players can expect the following in the Path of Exile 2 0.5.5 update:

  • Return to the Wildwood
    • Venture beneath its twisted canopy to gather Primal, Vivid, and Wild Wisps, empowering monsters with dangerous modifiers and improved loot.
    • Lucky adventurers may even discover the elusive Sacred Wisp.
  • Overhauled Trial of Chaos
    • Streamlined objectives now focus on slaying enemies.
    • Introduces Wager Modifiers for risk‑reward gameplay.
    • Trials can extend up to 30 rooms, with escalating difficulty and rewards, including all three Trialmaster Fragments in a single run.
  • Eight New League Challenges
    • Objectives include completing Rituals, defeating named Rare Monsters, and reaching level 90.
    • Rewards: Locust Footprints Effect, Locust Swarm Finisher, Wildwood Guardian Pet, Wildwood Affliction Level‑up Effect, plus a commemorative Hideout Statue.
  • Endgame Expansion
    • Explore Abyssal Ravines, culminating in guaranteed Abyssal boss encounters.
    • Runes of Aldur content goes core, keeping Expeditions available from Act 4 onward.

Duelist Deep Dive

The update also showcased the Duelist class, set to debut with the 1.0 full release. His fluid combat style allows skills to chain naturally, with stances like Sand Stance and Blood Stance unlocking devastating combos such as Sand Scour and Bloodied Blade.
