4A Games and Deep Silver have announced that Metro 2039, the next chapter in the acclaimed post‑apocalyptic FPS saga, will release worldwide on February 4, 2027 across all platforms.

Revealed during PlayStation’s State of Play, the release date trailer showcased console gameplay captured on PlayStation 5 Pro, running at 4K 60FPS with ray traced visuals. At launch, a Performance Mode with 4K, 60FPS, and ray tracing will be available on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X.

Metro 2039 Gameplay Reveal

Captured from campaign content playable at gamescom, the trailer highlights raw combat, environmental detail, and kinetic survival gameplay, powered by major advances to the 4A Engine since Metro Exodus. The game recently won “Best Visuals” at gamescom 2026 and secured more nominations than any other title at the show.

4A Games, pioneers of ray tracing on PC and consoles, continues to push technical boundaries. Metro 2039 will feature Performance Mode with ray tracing enabled at 4K 60FPS, ensuring both visual fidelity and smooth gameplay.

Availability & Collector’s Edition

Metro 2039 is available to wishlist now on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games Store, with pre‑orders opening later this year. Fans can also register interest in the Collector’s Edition, which includes a wearable Replica Spartan Helmet.
