Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Software have announced that Hogwarts Legacy for the PS4 and Xbox One will be delayed.

Initially scheduled to release on April 4, 2023, the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game will now launch on May 5, 2023.

“We’re overwhelmed with gratitude for the response to Hogwarts Legacy from fans around the globe,” says the development team. “The team is working hard to deliver the best possible experience on all platforms and we need more time to do this.”

The game has already broken records, selling more than 12 million units and $850 million in sales in its first two weeks. This being the case, Game Director Alan Tew has recently gone on to say that the team has “no current plans” for DLC.

Hogwarts Legacy is now available for the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
