Three Yakuza Classics Return with New Features and Platforms Starting December

SEGA has announced that starting December 8, 2025, players can revisit the origins of Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima in enhanced editions of Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2.
Then, on February 12, 2026, the saga continues with the launch of Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, a reimagined version of Yakuza 3 bundled with a brand-new story expansion.
Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut – December 8, 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series

Set in 1988 during Japan’s bubble era, Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut lets players experience the rise of two legends: Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima.
This edition introduces:
- New cutscenes and expanded story content
- The first-ever online multiplayer mode, Red Light Raid
- Additional voiceover options in English and Chinese
- Enhanced visuals and performance for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S
- Steam release scheduled for December 9
Players can switch between three unique fighting styles per character and explore the vibrant streets of Kamurocho and Sotenbori in their prime.
Yakuza Kiwami & Yakuza Kiwami 2 – December 8, 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series

Originally remade for PS4 and Xbox One, Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are now coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with expanded language support, including:
- Traditional and Simplified Chinese
- French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain and Latin America)
- Korean, Russian, and Portuguese (Brazil)
While core gameplay remains unchanged, these updated editions offer broader accessibility and smoother performance.
Steam players will receive the same language update via a free patch on December 9.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties – February 12, 2026

This two-in-one release reimagines Yakuza 3 and introduces Dark Ties, an all-new, never-before-seen story arc starring Yoshitaka Mine, launching on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2.
Key features include:
- Revamped combat with two fighting styles: Dragon of Dojima and Ryukyu
- Okinawan weapon mastery and cell phone customization
- Life simulation elements at Morning Glory Orphanage
- Minigames galore: karaoke, darts, bowling, and more
- Bad Boy Dragon mode with team battles and motorcycle raids
- Dark Ties expansion featuring Mine’s origin story, shootboxing combat, and the Underground Fight Club
Pre-orders include Delinquent Ichiban Kasuga as a playable character in Bad Boy Dragon, while the Deluxe Upgrade adds legendary outfits, customization sets, and bonus content.
