Nintendo has released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and fans finally got their first proper look at Yoshi.
The beloved green dinosaur, a longtime companion of Mario, was revealed during a special Nintendo Direct broadcast dedicated to the film.

Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto shared a brief history of Yoshi’s origins, while Illumination’s Chris Meledandri confirmed that animation work is fully complete. The project has now moved into post-production, with teams focusing on sound design and music.
The film’s directors are collaborating with composer Brian Tyler, Nintendo, and Skywalker Sound to integrate themes from the Super Mario Galaxy games. A 70-piece orchestra has recorded the score, promising a cinematic experience that blends nostalgia with fresh energy.
