Wildlight Entertainment has announced that Highguard, its PvP raid shooter, will officially shut down on March 12, 2026.

A Difficult Farewell

Since launch, more than 2 million players stepped into Highguard’s world, sharing feedback, creating content, and supporting the game’s vision. Despite the team’s passion and hard work, Wildlight explained that they were unable to build a sustainable player base to support the game long term.

Highguard Final Update Details

Before the shutdown, players can expect one last patch featuring:

• A new Warden character
• A new weapon
• Account level progression and skill trees

The update is scheduled to roll out shortly, giving fans one last chance to enjoy fresh content before the servers close. It has to be said that the game did have a content plan until December.
