Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced that Pokémon Pokopia has surpassed 2.2 million units sold worldwide within just four days of release on Nintendo Switch 2. Of this figure, 1 million copies were sold in Japan, highlighting the franchise’s popularity in its home market.

The game launched globally on March 5, 2026, and includes both physical and digital sales.

A New Kind of Pokémon Adventure

Pokémon Pokopia marks a bold new direction for the franchise. Unlike traditional RPG entries, this title is a slow-paced life simulation game where players rebuild a desolate world into a thriving utopia alongside their Pokémon companions.
