Konami has announced that the Silent Hill 2 Remake has now surpassed five million units sold worldwide as of January 31, 2026.

This figure includes digital and physical sales, downloads, and subscription services across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Originally launched on October 8, 2024, the remake has been met with critical acclaim, winning six categories at the PlayStation Blog Game of the Year 2024, including the Platinum Trophy for “Story.” It also secured the Grand Prize in Sound at the CEDEC Awards 2025, alongside nominations at The Game Awards 2024 and the BAFTA Games Awards 2025.
