The Esports Foundation (EF) has officially appointed the Philippine Esports Organization (PeSO) as the National Team Partner for the Philippines in the upcoming Esports Nations Cup 2026(ENC). The global competition will debut in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from November 2–29, 2026, bringing together national teams from over 100 countries.
PeSO, recognized as the country’s governing body for esports, has been instrumental in shaping the local ecosystem for more than a decade. With backing from Smart Communications and partnerships with industry leaders like Tier One Entertainment, Mineski Global, TNC Pro Team, and Playbook Esports, PeSO is set to lead the charge in forming national teams across multiple game titles.
PeSO Leadership and Structure
To ensure smooth operations, Leo Andrew Escutin has been appointed as National Team Manager, overseeing day-to-day activities, player selection, and coordination with ENC governance standards.
PeSO Executive Director Marlon Marcelo emphasized the organization’s commitment:
“This designation reflects our continued commitment to developing world-class Filipino esports athletes and strengthening the country’s presence in international competition.”
Esports Nations Cup Global Recognition
The ENC received over 630 applications from 150 countries, highlighting the massive interest in nation-based esports. PeSO now joins a prestigious roster of National Team Partners, representing both legacy organizations and emerging forces in competitive gaming.
