NBA THE RUN Launches in June, Closed Beta Set for May

Developer Play by Play Studios has announced that NBA THE RUN, a three-versus-three street basketball game, will officially launch in June 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
Before release, players can sign up for the game’s first closed beta test, which runs on May 1 for PC via Steam from 12:00 p.m. PT to 3:00 p.m. PT.
NBA THE RUN – Game Modes and Features
At the heart of the game is the Run the World Tournament, a four-round knockout competition across iconic streetball courts worldwide. Players can choose from three modes at launch:
- Knockout Squads – Team up with friends or other players in 3v3 matches.
- Knockout Solos – Build and control your own team of three.
- Knockout Friends – Private tournaments with up to 48 players or AI opponents.
Over 30 NBA stars and five fictional streetball legends will be playable, each with unique playstyles. Gameplay is powered by rollback netcode, ensuring smooth online matches.
