PlaySide Studios revealed the global gameplay premiere of Game of Thrones: War for Westeros during Opening Night Live 2026. Officially licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment on behalf of HBO, the realโtime strategy game is set to release on Steam in early 2027.
Players will take command of House Stark, House Lannister, House Targaryen, or the White Walkers, each offering asymmetric strategies, unique armies, and distinct playstyles.
Iconic Heroes Return
The Game of Thrones: War for Westeros gameplay trailer showcased playable heroes including Robb Stark, Jon Snow, Ghost, Grey Wind, Jaime Lannister, Tywin Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, and the Night King. Each hero wields unique abilities that can shift the tide of battle.
Commanders must train units, secure resources, construct buildings, and claim territory across the Seven Kingdoms to forge their path to the Iron Throne.
