Capcom revealed the first extended gameplay trailer for Mega Man: Dual Override at Opening Night Live 2026, marking the twelfth mainline entry in the legendary series.
Alongside the Blue Bomber, Proto Man returns as a playable character, offering distinct abilities and playstyles.
Override System and Custom Chips
The new Override system allows robots to temporarily unleash power beyond their limits, at the cost of reduced performance once the boost fades. Players must master timing to maximize its impact.
Meanwhile, the Custom Chip system introduces personalization options, letting players install enhancements like rapidโfire, hover, or protective shields to tailor their combat approach.
Mega Man: Dual Override – New and Returning Robot Masters
The trailer introduced Twinkle Girl, one of eight new Robot Masters, dazzling foes with fireworkโthemed attacks. As always, defeating Robot Masters grants new special weapons, including a devastating charge attack that doubles as an aerial dash.
Fans also spotted Astro Man from Mega Man 8, teasing the return of classic Robot Masters in this new adventure.
Wishlist and Franchise Sale
Mega Man: Dual Override is now available to wishlist on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Steam ahead of its 2027 release.
Capcom also announced a limitedโtime sale on select franchise titles, including Mega Man 11 and the Star Force Legacy Collection.
