007 First Light Extended Operations DLC Available Now, Adds New Game+, Photo Mode, and More

In a nutshell

  • 007 First Light has received a free DLC update called Extended Operations, available now.
  • The update introduces New Game+, the challenging 00 Difficulty Mode, and a highly requested Photo Mode.
  • Players can also enjoy new TacSim missions, including the Aston Martin Valhalla-focused Valhalla Protocol content and new Vietnam missions.

IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have announced that 007 First Light is getting a substantial free content update today in the form of the Extended Operations DLC.

Available now, the update delivers several of the community’s most requested features, including New Game+, a new 00 Difficulty Mode, a fully featured Photo Mode, additional TacSim content, and various gameplay improvements.

New Game+ and 00 Difficulty Mode

One of the headline additions in 007 First Light Extended Operations is New Game+, which becomes available after completing the campaign on any difficulty setting.

Once unlocked, players can replay the story from the beginning or jump into any completed checkpoint while retaining access to previously unlocked outfits and gadgets.

New Game+ also unlocks the all-new 00 Difficulty Mode, offering a significantly more demanding experience for veteran agents.

This harder mode introduces:

  • Faster enemy reactions to disturbances and discovered bodies
  • Tougher guard variants in select encounters
  • Gadget restrictions when observed by enemies
  • Deadlier combat with two-hit kills
  • Reduced combat agency
  • Stricter timing windows for parries and evasive maneuvers

Players can still freely combine customization options with their preferred difficulty level, allowing unlocked gear and outfits to be used across Easy, Normal, Hard, and 00 Difficulty runs.

007 First Light – New TacSim Missions Include the Aston Martin Valhalla

The DLC also introduces a range of new TacSim experiences.

Previously teased at launch, the Valhalla Protocol content is now fully playable, bringing the high-performance Aston Martin Valhalla to the scenic Slovakian Mountains. The content consists of four missions that can be tackled during both day and night conditions, each featuring unique objectives and challenges. The Valhalla comes equipped with weapons featured in the main campaign, giving players opportunities to eliminate targets, earn time bonuses, and climb the leaderboards.

Bond will also return to The Pearl, the luxurious Vietnam resort featured in the main game. A new TacSim mission tasks players with infiltrating a heavily guarded villa to recover classified documents, with expanded access to the entire property, including the rooftop. The villa itself has also been redesigned to provide additional stealth and infiltration opportunities.

Photo Mode Finally Arrives

Another major addition arrives in the form of a fully featured Photo Mode, one of the most requested features by the 007 First Light community.

Photo Mode includes:

  • UI visibility options
  • Character posing tools
  • Full camera movement and lens adjustments
  • Brightness controls and post-processing effects
  • Custom frames, backgrounds, and logo options

Additional Gameplay Improvements

007 First Light Extended Operations also introduces several gameplay-focused enhancements. Weapon handling animations have been refined to improve visual fidelity and make Bond’s weapon interactions appear more natural and precise.

Meanwhile, one fan-favorite environmental takedown mechanic has received an amusing twist. Enemies are no longer the only ones vulnerable to being thrown off ledges, as Bond himself can now suffer the same fate. Agents will need to stay alert when operating near dangerous drop-offs.
