Capcom has officially launched Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, expanding the world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 with a brand-new storyline, a mysterious northern region to explore, and a fresh lineup of Official Pawns inspired by gaming creators from across Asia.
The release is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and for the first time in franchise history, Nintendo Switch 2.
The latest expansion takes players to the frozen region of Norgan, a long-abandoned territory where Arisen will team up with the enigmatic Eir to uncover the secrets surrounding the undying Fallen Dragon. Throughout the journey, players will discover forgotten relics, unlock powerful weapons and skills, and face new dangers that await in the harsh northern landscape.
Adding to the challenge are 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges, newly revealed trials designed by the Pathfinder. These dungeons offer opportunities to test combat prowess and earn rare equipment once wielded by previous Arisen. Players can also enjoy expanded character customization options, including new hairstyles and tattoos.
New Official Pawns Join the Adventure
To celebrate the launch, Capcom has introduced several new Official Pawns based on notable gaming creators from around the region.
Among them is Filipino cosplayer and content creator Myrtle Sarrosa, whose Fighter-class Pawn, Myrtle Gail, specializes in frontline combat, crowd control, and drawing enemy attention away from allies.

The new roster also includes:
- BBS, inspired by Indian creator BeastBoyShub, serving as a support-focused Mage Pawn.
- Mr.G, inspired by Thai creator Gssspotted and built as a nimble Thief Pawn.
- Xyaa, inspired by creator Shagufta “Xyaa” Iqbal, offering precision ranged support as an Archer Pawn.
Returning Fan-Favorite Official Pawns
Joining the newcomers are returning Official Pawns from the base game, now upgraded with higher levels, refined combat styles, and additional abilities.
Filipino gaming icon Alodia Gosiengfiao returns with her Sorcerer Pawn Alodia, featuring a refreshed appearance and powerful high-level spells, including the devastating Meteoron.

Other returning Official Pawns include:
- FrungFringZ, inspired by Thailand’s HEARTROCKER and equipped with advanced Sorcerer abilities.
- Rattlexnake, inspired by The Jooomers, a dynamic and evolving Pawn that changes and improves alongside the creator’s own journey through the game.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen – Nintendo Switch 2 Debut
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is available as a standalone package that includes the base game and all Dark Arisen content on Nintendo Switch 2. Meanwhile, existing Dragon’s Dogma 2 players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam can purchase the Dark Arisen content separately as DLC.
