Guilty Gear Strive delayed to June 11
A few days into March and we already get another delay a day just before the New Game Plus Expo. Guilty Gear Strive, originally slated for an April 9 release, has now been delayed to June 11th, two whole months from the planned launch date.
While this isn’t the first time Guilty Gear Strive has been delayed, it’s done so with good reason. According to their announcement: “Since we have received valuable feedback after the recent Open Beta Test, we would like to make the most of this opportunity to provide the best game possible. We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as online lobbies and the server’s stability.”
For players that have preordered the Deluxe and Ultimate version of the game, Early Access will now be available on June 8, 2021.
Our beta impressions of Strive were all praises, but the online lobby does need work since right now, it doesn’t even have the function to employ a rematch.
As the famous Shigeru Miyamoto adage went, “A delayed game is eventually good, a rushed game is forever bad”.
Guilty Gear Strive will now be released on June 11 on PS5, PS4, and the PC.
