League of Legends’ Pacific Championship Series 2020 Summer Split has just recently come to a close with the Taiwanese team Machi Esports (MCX) being crowned champions.

Machi Esports battled it out with Hong Kong squad PSG Talon (PSG) in the Finals. The two teams had played each other 16 times on stage in this calendar year and split the matches between themselves. The two teams have established their rivalry as an “El Clasico” of the PCS.

The two teams went the distance in an exciting five-game Upper Bracket Finals with PSG inching out a victory. The loss dropped MCX to the Lower Bracket where they faced and swept fellow Taiwanese squad J Team, forcing a rematch of the Spring Split Finals between MCX and PSG.

This time around, MCX were ready for revenge from the Upper Bracket Finals and the Spring Split Finals as they swept their rivals to claim the Summer Split title.

K/DA, the virtual pop group featuring League of Legends champions Ahri, Kai’Sa, Evelynn, and Akali, is making their official comeback and it all begins with the new song THE BADDEST.

The group released official lyric music video for the THE BADDEST, group’s follow-up to debut 2018 hit POP/STARS. The talent line-up for the new song includes the POP/STARS performers, SOYEON and MIYEON of the K-Pop girl group (G)I-DLE alongside new collaborators Bea Miller and Wolftyla.

K/DA will also be releasing their debut EP later this year. The EP will include THE BADDEST in addition to new tracks with a variety of artists. It will be released from the Riot Games Music label which has released acts like DJ Sona, True Damage, and Pentakill.

“We can’t wait for everyone to hear the new track, followed by the EP later in the year, which is packed with tons of surprises for League of Legends and K/DA fans to enjoy,” said Toa Dunn, Head of Riot Games Music.

K/DA has evolved to embrace a more global sound and has formed its musical identity around the girls in the pop group instead of the vocals of any one individual talent. This allows K/DA to welcome a much larger roster of musicians to join the group in their comeback.

The current pandemic has forced schools and students alike to start the new school year online. This means that first-year students won’t be able to experience walking through the various halls of their new school for the first time.

A team of students from the University of Santo Tomas put things into their own hands by rebuilding their beloved campus in Minecraft, which you can see below:

“We built the campus to instill the tradition that UST upholds every year for its freshmen students. We also missed UST which led us to build a team for its creation, ” explained UST Minecraft Founder, Charles Nobleza when we asked him what made the team want to make the campus in Minecraft.

According to him, the project took two months to build and there are around 80 people on their team.

I didn’t graduate from UST and haven’t been to the campus enough times to know the entire place but it does look quite impressive. It has the iconic Arch of the Centuries, Plaza Mayor, and Main Building. By iconic, I definitely mean the areas of the school that are seen the most. The team also included condominiums and food spots around the four streets of the campus, in addition to the buildings inside.

The team of students have partnered with the school which made the first year tour possible.

This is a pretty cool way to welcome the new students into college, especially one as legendary as UST. The fact that they did so in Minecraft is just icing on top.
