Cyberpunk 2077 is out today, and if you haven’t noticed, it is EVERYWHERE – in your news feeds, being played and streamed by almost everybody. Truly, the neon lights have taken over, and the numbers behind the hype are quite remarkable.

The CD Projekt Red Investor Relations Twitter account shared the announcement, which is a staggering number for a game. Certainly, the hype is real for Johnny Silverhand and Night City.

In other staggering numbers, SteamDB shows that at its peak, over 1 Million players were concurrently playing Cyberpunk 2077. When you think about it, it could have been more, but many players have been experiencing patch problems since its release. Hours after, there are still nearly 800,00 players playing at the moment. Just wow.

It isn’t even the weekend yet, so you can probably expect these numbers to repeat or go even higher.

Also, this is just for Steam! We haven’t even seen the numbers for PlayStation and Xbox yet, as well as the other platforms.

For a game that has held the gaming world captive with every update, even with the numerous delays, Cyberpunk 2077 has been doing very well for itself, with numerous media outfits giving it beaming reviews.

Hopping into Night City anytime soon? Cyberpunk 2077 is now available!
