Diablo 2 Resurrected is the upcoming remastered version of the classic from the year 2000 and over the weekend, a select few were able to access the Technical Alpha to test out the game. With Diablo himself smiling in our favor, we had a chance to play through the game and really enjoy the nostalgia kick that it brought, only this time in stunning 4K visuals that modernizes the game.

One cool feature in the game is the ability to switch in an out of the “old” and “new” version of the game with a press of a button, allowing for some wonderful comparisons, showing how far graphical quality has come in 20 years. Vicarious Visions have done fantastic work on this remaster and it clearly shows.

Check out some of the comparison screenshots below of Diablo 2 Resurrected and the original Diablo 2.

Diablo 2 Resurrected is certainly looking mighty fine, with the visual quality being improved while keeping the soul and feel of the original intact. Hardcore fans of the game from 20 years ago will certainly want to keep their eyes on this one.

Diablo 2 Resurrected is scheduled to release later this year for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
