EA Play postponed to June 18

EA Play, EA’s digital event that promised world premieres and more, will be postponed to June 18 in light of the recent protests happening across the world.

Originally scheduled for June 11, the official Twitter account of EA had this to say about postponing the event:

With the promise of EA planning to release multiple games this year, including the biggest announcement possibly being the much awaited Mass Effect Trilogy, there should be a lot to look forward to. For now, we’ll have to wait another week, as there are much more pressing concerns that needs to be addressed.

And what has EA done towards supporting the BLM movement? They’ve actually donated $1 Million to various organizations “dedicated to the fight for racial justice in the U.S. and against discrimination around the world.” and will double match any employee donations throughout June.

Good on ya, EA!
