Final Fantasy XIV free trial will let you play through the first expansion, Heavensward
Itching to try out the highly acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV? Now could be the perfect time to do so as its free trial offering will include A Realm Reborn, the base game, along with the first expansion Heavensward!
In an official announcement, the new iteration of the Final Fantasy XIV free trial will include Heavensward, new jobs, a new character race, and a level 60 cap, more than enough to get you immersed in the game and experience what the world has to offer. This, along with other updates, will all happen come Patch 5.3, entitled ‘Reflections in Crystal’, on August 11.
Final Fantasy XIV is a subscription based MMORPG but this update basically makes it free-to-play, at least until the Heavensward expansion. There are certain rules that free trial players will be limited to, like not being able to trade with other players or being restricted from using the Mogletter service, but players will still be able to enjoy the full gameplay experience.
Final Fantasy XIV is now on its ‘Shadowbringers’ expansion, the third and latest piece of content which went live on July 2, 2019.
