Genshin Impact’s Yae Miko Is Voiced By A Talented Filipino
Genshin Impact’s Version 2.5 Update is coming on February 16, and with it, a new 5-star Electro Catalyst character in Yae Miko. She is the head shrine maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine and is voiced by Ratana Therakulsathit, one of the many Filipino talents making a mark in the gaming industry.
Los Angeles-based Ratana has officially announced this over her social media accounts, sharing that it was a joy to portray the character and how the opportunity has given her a chance “to work with the incredible team who bring this game to life.”
Ratana is proud of her Visayan heritage, and has also made some jokes about how she kept hearing that she doesn’t look Filipino, saying “What song do you want me to fire up on the basement karaoke machine while we snack on lumpia?” I don’t think you can get any more Pinoy than Karaoke and Lumpia!
