GTA V Graphics Modes For PS5 And Xbox Series Detailed

Rockstar Games has announced that the next-gen GTA V for the PS5 and Xbox Series will be getting a bunch of much-needed improvements when it releases on March 15, 2022.

GTA V Graphics Modes

There will be 3 graphics modes for players to choose from, including:

  • Fidelity Mode – This mode will target the highest visual setting, promising native 4K with ray tracing for PS5 and Xbox Series X, while Xbox Series S will have upscaled 4K resolution. All consoles will run at a targeted 30fps for this mode.
  • Performance Mode – This mode will target 60fps for PS5 and Xbox Series X with upscaled 4K resolution, while Xbox Series S gets 1080p.
  • Performance RT Mode – This mode is exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X, and will support upscaled 4K with ray tracing while targeting 60fps.

Apart from these graphics modes, the next-gen version of GTA V will also offer features like improved loading times, 3D audio, and platform-specific features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for the PS5.

Other improvements include “increased population and traffic variety, increased vegetation density, improved lighting quality across shadows, water reflections, and other elements. Plus improved anti-aliasing, motion-blur, highly detailed new explosions, fire, and much more.”

GTA V Save Transfers

PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to transfer both story mode progress and GTA Online characters and progression to the next-gen version through a one-time migration offer.

As instructed by Rockstar Games, players must “enter GTAV on your current console account and go to the Game tab of the Pause Menu. From there, select the Upload Save Game option. Please note, you can only store one game save per platform at a time and saves will remain available to download for 90 days.”

GTA V for the PS5 and Xbox Series will be available on March 15, with physical releases coming in April.
