MLB The Show 22 Announced, Shohei Otani Revealed As Cover Athlete

Sony Interactive Entertainment and MLB have announced that MLB The Show 22 will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and on the Nintendo Switch for the first time in franchise history on April 5, 2022.

MLB The Show 22 Cover Athlete – Shohei Ohtani

Announced on the PlayStation Blog, Los Angeles Angels Star Player Shohei Ohtani will be the cover athlete of this latest installment, capping off a historic 2021 season in style.

The game will be available in the following editions:

  • Standard Edition – last-gen ($59.99 or around PHP 3,000) and current-gen ($69.99 or around PHP3,500). $10 upgrade path available for digital edition.
  • Collector’s Edition – to be revealed on February 2. Will contain dual-entitlement.

The game will support cross-play between PlayStation – Xbox – Switch and in addition, cross-progression will also be available for these platforms.

As with MLB The Show 21, Xbox owners will enjoy the game as a day one release on Game Pass.

MLB The Show 22 will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch on April 5, 2022.
