Battlefield fans have been waiting for some time now and it seems your patience is finally going to pay off as EA have announced that they are working on two (yes, 2!!!) Battlefield games, with the first one releasing later this year.
In the announcement, DICE general manager Oskar Gabrielson shared that they have been “Working with more world-class development studios within Electronic Arts, we have our biggest team ever on a Battlefield game for console and PC”, which will be a jaw-dropping experience that will release in 2021.
Gabrielson shares that they have been in daily playtesting mode at the moment, which will bring the game to a quality that the fans will surely appreciate. The upcoming game, which is presumably the next mainline title in the series, has “everything we love about Battlefield – and takes all of it to the next level. Epic scale. All-out military warfare. Crazy, unexpected moments. Game-changing destruction. Massive battles, packed with more players and mayhem than ever before. All brought to life with the power of next-gen consoles and PCs.”
A full reveal of the game will be ready soon.
The next game is an upcoming mobile game scheduled to release in 2022, which will be a standalone game, one that is completely different from the console and pc experience, designed specifically for mobile.
Looks like Call of Duty has some incoming competition.
