Well, too bad.

Update: False alarm. According to Gematsu, the co-host apparently just misunderstood the panel description, so while there may be new info, it may not be a new title per se.

Original: A new Yakuza game announcement will take place on September 27 during the Tokyo Game Show 2020, as reported by Gematsu.

Co-host Ayana Tsubaki tweeted the announcement confirming the announcement but the tweet has been taken down since.

The schedule of the reveal is set to take place at 8PM Japan Standard time, that’s 7PM Philippine time, so we don’t have to wake up during weird hours of the day to catch this announcement live on YouTubeNiconico, or Periscope.

Between the live action Yakuza movie and the release of their latest installment Yakuza: Like a Dragon, there is quite the resurgence of interest in this series and this new title may just hype it up even more.
