Project Athia is a 24 month PS5 console exclusive, Gran Turismo 7 not coming to PS4

A new trailer from Sony just dropped showcasing quite a number of titles like Project Athia that you can enjoy with your brand new PS5. There was actually a previous video which put Horizon Zero Dawn at a second half of 2021 release date, but this latest one shares more details about the upcoming games.

Check out the video below:

Saw it? Pretty cool hype video, but there are some things to notice here, and let’s check it out one by one.

Horizon Forbidden west was previously slated for a second half of 2021 release and as per the new video, just 2021. Does that mean it can release earlier? Whatever the case, let’s hope it doesn’t get delayed to 2022.

Based on the new video, Gran Turismo 7 has been confirmed to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive, meaning no PlayStation 4 ports like Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West. Gran Turismo was also anticipated to have a first half 2021 release, but the new video just says 2021, so there’s a possibility that it could have been delayed.

Project Athia, the new game from Square Enix, is confirmed to be a 24-month console exclusive, but will launch for the PlayStation 5 and PC.

Ghostwire Tokyo and Deathloop will also be a 12-month console exclusive to the PlayStation 5. Obviously, this will change upon the acquisition of Bethesda by Microsoft.

2021 is looking to be a strong year for the PS5, and if God of War Ragnarok pushes through with its 2021 release date as well, then we’re in for another good year of gaming!
