Secret 6 Lends Their Talents to Action RPG Lords of the Fallen
Secret 6 has announced that they had the privilege of making significant contributions in 2D art, 3D art, and real-time visual effects for Lords of the Fallen.
The team closely collaborated with HEXWORKS Studios and CI Games to create some of the game’s most iconic bosses and characters. One such boss is Aydr, the ultimate antagonist that players strive to defeat. Thoroughly communicating to ensure that the creative vision of HEXWORKS Studios is brought to fruition in vivid detail, the teams worked tirelessly to conceptualize and create player characters such as the Hallowed Knight, Blackfeather Ranger, Orian Preacher, and the Condemned, while contributing to creating the models for the rest of the other player classes.
A unique feature of this dark fantasy action role-playing game is that it allows players to journey between two distinct parallel worlds, Axiom and Umbral, representing the realms of the living and the dead, respectively. Secret 6 took on responsibilities ranging from asset creation to set dressing and level art, resulting in visually stunning environments that enhance the player’s experience as they traverse between these two contrasting realms.
Secret 6 also created visual effects for player skills, cinematics, and the most memorable boss fights in the game, including The Congregator of Flesh, Tancred and Reinhold, Pieta, Harrower Deryla, and Aydr the demon god.
Alexandre Chaudret, Art Director at HEXWORKS, said: “We worked with Secret 6 on several fronts during the development of Lords of the Fallen, and trusted them to work on some of the most iconic characters in the game. We found it a smooth collaboration and welcomed their efficient and professional manner. This allowed for strong communication between us during the iterative design and development process. The team at Secret 6 quickly captured the aesthetic style of the game and were strongly engaged during our time working together.”
Secret 6 has worked on many other high-profile titles, some of which include The Last of Us Part I, Battlefield 2042, Cyberpunk 2077, and much more.
Lords of the Fallen is now available for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
