Spider-Man: Miles Morales will feature a full arc and a complete story
One of the games that will banner the arrival of the PlayStation 5 is Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Dubbed as a standalone project and as clarified by Creative Director Brian Horton during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “This is a full arc for Miles Morales that started in Spider-Man.”
Horton continued to say that “We really are completing this hero’s coming of age in our game. It is a complete story. When we started crafting it, we realized that, with a little bit more of a compact storytelling style, we could tell a very emotionally impactful story that would fit really well as an experience that would take Spider-Man 1 and [Miles Morales] and do justice to this character.”
To further the point that Miles Morales is his “own” Spider-Man, Insomniac have ensured that “The animation, the movements, the mechanics, even his powers (including bioshock and invisibility) aren’t just unique tricks for this character, they are metaphors for that hero’s journey.”
The Entertainment Weekly exclusive also revealed a new screenshot for the game, featuring Miles in fantastic detail, along with… puddles. Again. Remember that puddle issue from way back? Insomniac does and is out for revenge.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales is scheduled to release in the Holiday of 2020 and will feature near instant loading times and offer a 4K 60fps option.
