Another year has come and gone in gaming and in a few months, the best of the best will gather once again to see who will take home the coveted award as The Game Awards makes a return on December 9, 2021 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

With Geoff Keighley himself making the announcement, The Game Awards 2021 will be an in-person event and apart from just awards, we can expect a ton of new updates and announcements as well.

Keighley shares his excitement, saying that The Game Awards will be “a special night to celebrate the past, present and future of videogames. Our goal is to bring the entire community together to celebrate the most powerful form of entertain.”

Last year, The Last of Us Part II took home a huge haul, also winning the coveted Game of the Year award facing stiff competition against the likes of Hades, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima, and much more.

What games do you think will be nominated for Game of the Year? Will Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart be there? How about Psychonauts 2?
