CD Projekt Red has announced that the highly-anticipated next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is coming on December 14, 2022, and will be free for everyone who already owns the game.
The update is said to include “a range of visual and technical improvements — including ray tracing and faster loading times — across the base game, both expansions, and all extra content.” The update will also see a variety of mods integrated into the game.
A separate physical edition will be released soon after. No release date was mentioned.
The company promised more gameplay details during a special gameplay reveal that will be streamed on the CDPR Twitch channel.
Additionally, the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch versions of the game will also be getting an update that will feature numerous additions and improvements, along with Netflix Witcher-inspired content. Release details will be announced soon.
