Just in time before its worldwide release, Sony has announced the official PlayStation 5 price and release date for the Philippines. The PlayStation 5 with Ultra HD Blu-Ray Disc Drive will retail for PHP27,990 and will release on December 11, 2020. Alongside this, the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will retail for PHP23,990. Despite the delay, this is a very competitive price all things considered, since a lot of people were expecting upwards of PHP30K.

No pre-order details have been announced as of today, so we’ll have to wait a little bit longer for that.

Sony has also confirmed the local prices of the accessories that will be launching with the PlayStation 5:

• DualSense Charging Station – PHP1,690
• PULSE 3D Wireless Headset – PHP5,590

The pricing for the PlayStation Studios launch titles will be as follows:

• Astro’s Playroom (Japan Studio) – Free, pre-installed with the PlayStation 5.
• Demon’s Souls (Bluepoint Games / Japan Studio) – PHP3,490
• Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Insomniac Games) – PHP2,490
• Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition (Insomniac Games) – PHP3,490
• Sackboy A Big Adventure (Sumo Digital / XDEV) – PHP2,990
