Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch

After much coaxing by none other than Tony Hawk himself over Twitter, which got numerous replies from Activision, Crash Bandicoot, and even Nintendo, it has now been revealed that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is indeed coming to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series on March 26, and to the Nintendo Switch later this year.

A blog post by Activision makes the announcement official, and the next-gen versions will include both visual and performance upgrades that will make it better than it already is.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions will have a 120FPS at 1080p or a 60FPS Native 4K option to choose from, making this superb remaster look and play even better. No specs have been detailed yet for the Nintendo Switch Version.

Players who already have the Digital Deluxe Edition on current-gen consoles can download the upgrade free of charge. In case you only own the standard base copy, a cross-gen deluxe bundle will be available for $10 and will include access to the secret skater The Ripper, retro gear for Create-A-Skater, and retro skins for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, and Rodney Mullen.

Our review of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 calls it “as good as you remember”, praising the work that Vicarious Visions has done to bring this remaster to life while keeping the charm and soul of the franchise intact.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series version to follow on March 26. A Nintendo Switch release is scheduled sometime this year.
