January started out a bit slow but that’s only because the upcoming lineup of February 2022 game releases has arguably one of the best monthly lineups in recent memory, with hit after hit filling out the shortest month of the year.

From Sony’s Horizon Forbidden West to Techland’s Dying Light 2, many of the February 2022 Game Releases are finally coming out after being delayed. Furthermore, the much-anticipated juggernaut that is Elden Ring will soon hit the gaming public, capping off an explosive month.

Indies also get their time in the sun for the February 2022 game releases, with Sloclap’s much anticipated Sifu along with Monark.

This series really had a great run since its launch back in 2015. This remastered collection finally launches on current-gen consoles and I’m looking forward to choosing every possible way to make Nathan Prescott’s life a living hell. Or not.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human

Starting this month strong is Dying Light 2, which is looking to serve up some intense first-person zombie parkour action. Techland has been working at this for years now, and if the early previews are a sign, then it seems that the wait will be truly worth it.

OlliOlli World

Release Date: February 8, 2022
Platform: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

OlliOlli World takes you on a trip to the land of Radlandia, a hallowed ground created by the skate gods for their pilgrims to achieve Gnarvana. Compete in leaderboards for a chance to win epic gear and make your way to the top of this radical skating adventure.

Sifu

Release Date: February 8, 2022
Platform: PC, PS5, PS4

Sifu is a revenge tale where a man dedicates his life to mastering his kung-fu to mete out justice against his family’s killers. There won’t be any difficulty selections, so every action and failure will age this kung-fu master. Watch out for this release as it is looking to be a sleeper hit for 2022.

Edge of Eternity

Release Date: February 10, 2022; February 23, 2022 (Nintendo Switch)
Platform: PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch

From the indie developers Midgar Studio and published by Dear Villagers, this JRPG is definitely made with a lot of love. Music by the legendary Yasunori Mitsuda of Chrono Trigger and Xenogears fame adds the icing on the cake. Bonus for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, it’ll be out on Day 1!

Crossfire X

Release Date: February 10, 2022
Platform: PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series

This first-person shooter exclusive on the Xbox from Smilegate and Remedy entertainment finally gets its chance to shine in the spotlight this month. With an explosive campaign and multiplayer offering, it’s another shooter out in the market that you can try that’s not named Destiny.

King of Fighters XV

Release Date: February 17, 2022
Platform: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC

King of Fighters has become the flagship fighting title for SNK and with its 15th iteration, this fighting game lets its brand speak for itself. Hopefully, it follows the route of Guilty Gear Strive where there they keep the formula fresh while maintaining what makes it great. We’ll soon find out!

Monark

From the creators of the Persona series, Monark is a new indie title localized through NIS in the West. It’s really interesting to see how Japanese creators who’ve come from bigger studios create creative ways to actualize their new titles using a more independent route.
