Hades Is Lea Salonga’s Latest Video Game Discovery And She Absolutely Loves It

Lea Salonga is an icon known around the world for her remarkable performances in Disney classics such as Aladdin and Mulan. She is also a huge fan of video games, in case you didn’t know.

She’s tweeted about her love for Batman Arkham Knight in the past, along with an emotional rant about how brownouts ruin her video game sessions. A Disney legend and a gamer, can’t get any better than that!

Lea Salonga LOVES Hades!

Over the weekend, she wrote about her recent discovery of Hades, a very strong Game of the Year contender when it launched back in 2020. Lea exclaims that the game is fantastic (IT REALLY IS) while playing it on her console.

We wonder what console it is, maybe the Switch so that she can take it around in between her busy schedule?

You can imagine how the comment section went down, with fans begging her to do a rendition of Good Riddance, which is an iconic track in the game.

Speaking of Good Riddance (the song, of course), Ashley Lynn Barrett, the singing voice of Eurydice in the game, noticed the tweet and was totally starstruck at the proceedings, saying that “I have never loved a voice more than this one,” obviously referring to Lea’s extraordinary talent.

I bet she would love more than anything to get a chance at a duet. We certainly would! Supergiant Games, make it happen!

Jamie Landrum, the voice of Nyx and Artemis, also jumped in and expressed how she was glad that Lea liked the game, even saying that “honestly not sure what award could compare to this!”

Despite not winning Game of the Year back in 2020, which was taken by an equally deserving title in The Last of Us Part II, Hades still took the industry by storm, bagging numerous awards left and right along with the prestige of being the first-ever video game to win a Hugo Award.

We can’t say enough good things about it, and the soundtrack is truly phenomenal. We think Lea would totally slay this track, would you agree?

Hades is now available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
