Final Fantasy VI Masterline Terra Figure Costs More Than Half A Million Pesos, Limited To Only 600 Units
First revealed late last year, the Final Fantasy VI Masterline Terra figure turned heads with its exquisite attention to detail and a showpiece that’s truly worthy of the greatness of the game.
Today, Square Enix has announced that preorders will open tomorrow and will set you back a whopping 1,485,000 yen, or around USD $11,500. That’s just a little over PHP600,000 in Philippine Pesos, enough to get you a second-hand car. Or two.
At this price, even die-hard fans of the game and the series might have to think twice, but they’ll have to do it quickly because only 600 units in the world will be produced, 150 of which will be in Japan, and will be released on July 28, 2023. Time to dig deep into your Gil reserves, you’ll definitely need it!
The level of detail in the figure is staggering, and the size is nothing to scoff at as well. Just take a look at how big it is, as Yoshitaka Amano himself sits beside the figure.
Prior to the price reveal, it was speculated that it might cost as much as the previous Masterline / Prime 1 figures, like the Nier Automata series that starts at 800 Euros. This figure totally blows 2B and the rest of the gang out of the water, costing over three times as much as the most expensive variant. That’s Magitek power for you!
Square Enix also shared a short video showcasing the figure alongside a special interview with Yoshitaka Amano.
