With E3’s cancellation and the pandemic easing up a bit to allow for physical events like the Tokyo Game Show 2022, organizers are starting to come up with industry events again after a couple of years of absence. For gaming fans in Southeast Asia, Gamescom Asia has good news as the much-awaited event finally returns later this year.

Scheduled for October 20-23 at the Suntec Convention & Exhibition Center in Singapore, Gamescom Asia 2022 will be a hybrid event comprised of an online opening and closing show on October 19 and 23, along with a physical entertainment zone in between that will allow for industry professionals and the general public to attend the said event.

“It is the year for gaming events as Gamescom and Gamescom Asia restart their physical formats, once again welcoming visitors to the show floor. We are very excited to bring back a festival atmosphere, of course within safe and calculated measures as we are not yet out of the pandemic, but overall, the enthusiasm has been evident amongst the community and industry,” said Mathias Kuepper, Managing Director of Koelnmesse Singapore.

Apart from the schedule, the organizers will be giving out updates in the weeks and months to come leading to the event. Event-goers can expect the latest news, announcements, and quite possibly some playable demos from the biggest publishers and developers.
