Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be coming on October 28, 2022 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Battlenet and Steam.

The upcoming title is a sequel to the 2019 Modern Warfare release and will let players experience what made Task Force 141 become the iconic and legendary squad that it is.

Deploying alongside you are iconic squadmates: Team leader Captain John Price; seasoned sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick; the lone wolf himself, fan-favorite Simon “Ghost” Riley; fearless Sergeant John “Soap” MacTavish; as well as the newest team member, Colonel Alejandro Vargas, an incorruptible Tier 1 Operator and member of the Mexican Special Forces.

The release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will usher in a new era for the series, implementing a new engine that will be used in the upcoming Warzone 2.0 which will be released later this year and will feature a separate progression system and inventory from the previous release. Alongside this announcement, an all-new mobile experience that will bring Warzone on the go is in development.

Veterans know that for Call of Duty games, Multiplayer is a crucial aspect, and Modern Warfare II will offer new ways to play and gameplay innovations, including a revamped Gunsmith that offers more customization than ever before.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Pre-orders

For this latest installment, there will be no specific PS4 and Xbox One versions, so if you want to go cross-gen anytime soon, then the cross-gen bundle will be your best bet, which will include early access to the open beta. This edition will retail for $69.99 (around PHP3,500).

A “Vault” edition is also available, which will include all the items from the cross-gen bundle along with some bonuses like:

• Red Team 141 Operator pack
• FJX Cinder Weapon Vault
• Battle Pass + 50 Tier Skips
• 10 hours 2XP + 10 hours 2WXP

The Vault edition will retail for $99.99 (around PHP5,000).
