Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has announced that Pac-Man World Re-PAC is coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC via Steam on August 26, 2022.

The upcoming release is a full remake of the 1999 classic, which will see HD visual enhancements, gameplay improvements, and new features such as an updated boss battle system which will make it even easier to play for both fans and newcomers.

Here are some of the game modes that players can expect:

PAC-MAN WORLD Re-PAC offers three exciting modes to play – Quest Mode, where PAC-MAN sets off on a grand adventure to rescue his family; Maze Mode, where PAC-MAN finds himself lost in mysterious 3D mazes; and Original Mode, which offers the original PAC-MAN experience!

Quest Mode

Quest Mode, the main mode in this title, begins with PAC-MAN’s birthday party. While it was just about to start, the evil machines of the robot TOC-MAN swooped in and got his family abducted by ghosts. To rescue his family, PAC-MAN must journey through the six mysterious worlds of Ghost Island and overcome various enemies!

Maze Mode

Maze Mode brings classic PAC-MAN gameplay to a 3D maze setting. Eclectic mazes with a wide variety of features await players in each area!

Original Mode

Play the complete version of the original game in Original Mode, which players can unlock by completing the main game!
