Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion to Feature new ‘Menu-based’ Combat System and BGM
Square Enix has outlined some of the new features players can expect when Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion releases this Winter.
Apart from the obvious graphical upgrade, players can also look forward to a “new menu-based battle system,” which was not detailed further by the company. Based on the trailer from last month, it would seem that this new battle system might put this installment in line with Final Fantasy VII Remake, despite seemingly retaining the Digital Mind Wave (DMW) system from the original.
One of the other details provided by Square is that the game will have new BGM arrangements by Takeharu Ishimoto, who is the composer of the original game and is also responsible for various other compositions that can be heard in The World Ends With You (2007) and Dissidia: Final Fantasy (2008).
Officially announced back in June, this upcoming release is being described as a remaster that will feature new 3D models and voiced characters, which will surely please longtime fans of the game that have been wishing for a modern version.
