Activision has announced that Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will be having 2 beta weekends in September, with the first weekend exclusive to PlayStation players.

Ahead of its launch on October 28, the open beta will be free across all platforms, with pre-orders getting first dibs on access. Players will have two opportunities to join the beta:

Weekend One (exclusive to PS4 and PS5, PS Plus not required)

• Early Access / Preorders – Friday, September 16 at 10 AM PT to Tuesday, September 20 PT (Saturday September 17 at 1 AM GMT+8 to Tuesday, September 20 APAC time)
• Open Beta – Sunday, September 18 at 10 AM PT to Tuesday, September 20 PT (Monday September 19 at 1 AM GMT+8 to Tuesday, September 20 APAC time)

Weekend Two (PS, Xbox, and PC – Crossplay enabled)

• Early Access – Thursday, September 22 at 10 AM PT to Monday, September 26 PT (Friday, September 23 at 1 AM GMT+8 to Monday, September 26 APAC time)
• Open Beta – Saturday, September 24 at 10 AM PT to Monday, September 26 PT (Sunday, September 25 at 1 AM GMT+8 to Monday, September 26 APAC time)

During the Modern Warfare II Beta, players can expect a variety of maps and modes that will go beyond the core 6v6 experience.

Additionally, players can try out the Marina Bay Grand Prix map, where the battle will take place within the main infield of an urban race circuit.

In the APAC region, pre-orders for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will begin on August 25, 2022 at all PlayStation Authorised Dealers and Sony Stores and will retail for the following prices:

Activision also unveiled Call of Duty: Next, which is an upcoming showcase that will feature the future of the franchise, showing robust information drops detailing innovations, live gameplay, and a whole lot more.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be coming on October 28, 2022 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC via Battlenet and Steam.
