A Plague Tale: Requiem runs at 1440p and 30 FPS on the PS5 and Xbox Series X
A Plague Tale: Requiem is now available for the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, and some content creators are already putting the game through its paces, checking out its performance across the consoles.
One such Youtuber is ElAnalistaDeBits, as they have released a video that details the performance of the game across its launch platforms. Based on the video, the PS5 and Xbox Series X will run the game at 1440p 30fps, but can also put out 40 fps on 120Hz supported displays.
Both current-gen consoles look to have mostly similar performance, with the Xbox Series X using its extra firepower to offer a more stable performance while the PS5 suffers from some occasional dips during busy scenes. Sadly, the game doesn’t have performance toggles as well. The Xbox Series S will run the game at 1080p 30fps.
A Plague Tale: Requiem will also make PC players sweat, as the game can run at 4K 60fps but only on an RTX 3080, which is not an easily accessible card due to its price.
This situation is almost similar to the recent controversy revolving around Gotham Knights, which was recently confirmed to only run at 30 fps on the current-gen consoles.
Is 30 fps a deal breaker for you? Should 60 fps be the current-gen standard?
