Riot Games has announced a new game mode for VALORANT called Swiftplay, with a beta going live today until January 10, 2023.

The goal of this often requested game mode is to offer the core experience to players who have a lower time commitment, or want to get in as many reps in during a smaller window.

Swiftplay is basically a condensed version of the standard 5v5 unrated spike mode, where the team that gets to 5 rounds first will be declared the winner. There will be a 4-round half, modified economy and bonus structure, along with a sudden death overtime. This mode will be playable across all unrated maps.

The Swiftplay beta will be going live along with patch 5.12, which will see various changes to Chamber and other agents.
