SEGA and Atlus have announced that Etrian Odyssey, the popular 3D action RPG, is being remastered and is coming to the Switch and PC on June 1, 2023.

Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection is a remastered collection of the original three titles in the series and is a 3D dungeon-crawling RPG where players select adventurers from a variety of classes and combine their skills to search for an immense treasure sleeping within a vast labyrinth, all while creating a unique and personalized map.

Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection will bring beautifully upgraded visuals and the addition of ease-of-play functions such as difficulty levels, auto-mapping, and much more.

Here are the key features of the upcoming Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection:

Difficulty Levels Added – With three difficulty levels, players from all backgrounds can
enjoy the game with ease. “Picnic” is perfect for beginners, “Basic” is great for casual adventurers, and “Expert” (the difficulty of the original games) is the go-to for veterans of the series.

Choose How You Want to Draw Maps – In this title, you can draw maps of your surroundings by either using the controller or touching the screen. These two modes also have further detailed options, allowing for more customization. Create maps in a way that best suits your playstyle.

Enjoy a More Pleasant Experience with Auto-Mapping – Along with an improved auto-mapping function, a new mode that allows you to automatically record floors and walls has
been added. Newcomers to map drawing can traverse with ease!

Increased Save Slots – The number of save slots has been increased to nine! Explore the Labyrinth with a variety of parties and record many more tales than before.

More Freedom During Character Creation – You can now choose appearances from other classes! Create a party of adventurers to your liking without being restricted by classes, and then tackle the Labyrinth!

You Can Now Check Your Party’s Buffs/Debuff Status – During battles, you can check the buff/debuff status of all party members. Use this to get a quick grasp of the situation and prepare for your next move.

Added “Reference” Function – The newly added “Reference” function allows players to look
up information on their enemies during battle.

Online Play Added to Oceanic Quests – You can now trade and embark on oceanic quests with players from all over the country. Look forward to meeting tons of fellow adventurers on the vast seas!
