Tekken 8 Confirms Nina Williams as a Returning Fighter
Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia has announced that Nina Williams is the latest fighter confirmed to join the roster of Tekken 8. She joins previously announced characters such as Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Jack-8, and Lars Alexandersson.
Nina, the silent assassin who first appeared in the original game, is back with her smooth and deadly fighting style inspired by various martial arts. Her character model has been completely reworked, and her moves and techniques are also enhanced, including introducing new abilities to fit with the philosophy of “aggressiveness” in the game’s new combat system.
A new Tekken 8 developer video was also released, featuring executive producer Katsuhiro Harada and chief director Kohei Ikeda, detailing the various elements that make up the new aggressive gameplay philosophy.
Additionally, the Tekken World Tour 2023 has also been announced to start in March as an in-person competitive event. This year’s initial MASTER+, MASTER, CHALLENGER, and DOJO in-person competitions begin at EVO Japan on March 31, followed up with MIXUP in Lyon, France on April 22.
Tekken 8 will be coming to the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
