All PS Plus Subscription Tiers to Increase Price Starting in September
Sony has announced that 12-month subscription plans for PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium will be getting a price increase starting on September 6.
This price adjustment is being done to “enable us to continue bringing high-quality games and value-added benefits to your PlayStation Plus subscription service,” says Sony. The company has made no mention of whether the price increase will bring added benefits or not, but it will still be cheaper compared to purchasing 1- or 3-month subscriptions.
Here are the new prices for the three tiers:
Original Price | New Price | |
---|---|---|
Essential | $59.99 | $79.99 | SGD 70.90 | RM 235 | THB 1,830 | Rp 709,000 |
Extra | $99.99 | $134.99 | SGD 120.90 | RM 400 | THB 3,070 | Rp 1,215,000 |
Premium/Deluxe | $119.99 | $159.99 | SGD 139.90 | RM 460 | THB 3,530 | Rp 1,395,000 |
The announcement comes at a rather unusual time, especially since the PS Plus offerings for September look to be one of the weaker months in a very long time.
