Grand Theft Auto VI is, quite possibly, one of the most highly anticipated games in history, and its official reveal could happen as early as this week.

According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, sources familiar with plans have told Bloomberg that Rockstar Games “plans to announce” the game this week, with a trailer coming out in December to celebrate Rockstar’s 25th anniversary.

When probed for a comment, Rockstar Games did not respond.

Grand Theft Auto V was released back in 2013, and it’s been more than 10 years of waiting for the next entry. The 2013 classic has broken sales records left and right, making it the second-best-selling video game of all time, and the latest installment is expected to do the same, if not more.

Grand Theft Auto VI is reportedly aiming for a 2024-2025 release window based on prior information and will even star two lead characters and take place in a “fictionalized Miami that will update over time.”
